Presented here are visual process summaries of some of my 3D printing and production pieces. Most were done as part of an academic research project for the EhB (Erasmushogeschool Brussel), and some were made through my own company.
In each case the project considerations and workflow pipeline had to focus on real rather than virtual use. This involved exports for STL’s for 3D printing, consideration of real world scales and material properties, and the capabilities of the 3D printers as well as their software process and limitations. Objects would often start from a base that I would 3D scan and then do post-production on within the scanning software. This was followed by the majority of the detail work, clean-up and export being done with high-res sculpting and exporting, via ZBrush and 3ds max.
